Full-day Private Petra Tour Guided with a private guide Experience one of Jordan’s ancient treasures Enjoy a full 5 hours to visit the site Guided tour of Petra led by a local Round-trip transport from Amman and Dead Sea hotels All entrance fees included Instant Confirmation
As this is a Private Petra Tour Guided, the exact timings are up to you, but most start the day early, with pickup from their Amman or Dead Sea hotel at 7:30am. The ascent to the Monastery takes around one hour, and even without visiting the Monastery Petra is a large-scale site, so please do wear comfortable shoes.
Relax and enjoy the climate-controlled comfort of your private car as your personal driver makes the 2.5-hour journey to the city of Petra, through some stunning desert landscapes. Feel free to request a stop at any point, for a snack, a break, or just to capture photos.
Here, your driver will pay your entrance fees and arrange a private local guide to take you back in time: your tour includes a 10-minute horse ride. Stroll through the narrow Siq and gasp as the Treasury emerges from the darkness in glorious Technicolor, just as it did in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Marvel at the elaborate ancient tombs, the Roman theater, and the natural patterns of the scarlet rock.
Your guide will tell you stories of the Nabateans – and the Bedouins who followed them – as you stroll the colonnaded streets. Should you wish for a cold drink or a snack, there are several Bedouin vendors selling them, as well as a restaurant offering full-blown meals.
After five hours at Petra, you’ll typically return to your car by around 3pm, where your driver will bring you back to your hotel, arriving around 5:30pm.
