Start with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, Luxor`s ancient necropolis. Used for the burials of Pharaohs from approximately 1539 BC to 1075 BC, the Valley of the Kings contains at least 63 tombs, while the nearby Valley of the Queens, where the wives of the Pharaohs were buried, contains some 70 tombs.

After breakfast, leave the cruise to start your guided tour of the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Dedicated to the falcon-headed god, and considered the best preserved of all Egypt’s temples, the dramatic temple dates from the reign of Cleopatra VII and was built of sandstone between 237 BCE and 57 BCE.
